Furthermore, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is open 24 hours, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 one armed bandits, 36 table games, and four eatery’s. There are numerous other popular Iowa casinos, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slots, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa gambling hall is the Diamond Jo, a river based casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend river boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 one armed bandits, and 14 table games. Another Iowa river boat gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is available all day and night, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot riverboat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 one armed bandits, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday chemin de fer tournaments.
Iowa casinos offer an excellent amount of tax income to the state government of Iowa, which has allowed the bankrolling of many state wide projects. Tourism has increased at an accelerated rate along with the request for companies and an increase in working people. Iowa casinos have contributed to the growth of the economy, and the enthusiasm for betting in Iowa is across the board.
