Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is a captivating story to the Cambodia gambling dens that reside just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, where gambling den gambling is against the law. Eight gambling halls are based in a relatively small location in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling halls is in a perfect destination, a three to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest wagering locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The amazing income acquired from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to more than 12.5 million, and there are a few restrictions constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; although, financing sources are vague. The borders are formally open from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00, and despite the fact visas are supposedly necessary to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is real of many border crossings.

The original Cambodia casinos premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just a single gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored ship gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty slot machine games and 60 table games. The Naga gambling den never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of 21, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon followed. There are one hundred and fifty slots and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slots and sixty eight tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred slot machines and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and 66 of the familiar table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-around vacation and hotel compound that features a number of amenities aside from the gambling den, which offers 10,000 square feet of 130 slot machine games and eighty eight table games.
